PES was engaged by TechnoServe, the implementing partner of the Alliance for Inclusive and Nutritious Food Processing (AINFP) to provide ‘access to finance’ training sessions to address gaps in management capacity, investment preparedness and understanding private equity as a source of capital to AINFP SMEs based in Kenya and Tanzania.

The AfDB in collaboration with other partners organises annual Africa Investment Forum (AIF) which offers entrepreneurial ventures an opportunity to connect with investors, mentorship and entrepreneurship ecosystem partners. In the 2019 AIF held in Johannesburg, South Africa, AfDB organized Market Day Sessions for 20 entrepreneurial ventures working in education, health, agriculture, energy industries and ICT.
The Kenya Climate Innovation Center (KCIC) provides incubation, capacity building services and financing to Kenyan entrepreneurs and new ventures that are developing innovative solutions in energy, water and agribusiness to address climate change challenges. KCIC is an initiative supported by the World Bank.
